SYSTEM MANAGEMENT QUALITY IMPLEMENTATION

Process of selection of firms interested in financial and professional support in order to successfully deliver process of System Management Quality implementation, is closed. BSC Kragujevac selected 18 firms from Kragujevac and signed contracts with them in order to provide support with 50% expenses reimbursement, made for preparation (consulting and training) and certification phase (expenses made for implementation of procedure). The first company who passed this process and attained System of Quality ISO 9001:2000, supported by Business Start - Up Centre, is SUNCE Marinkovic d.o.o.

On June 26, at the Student Cultural Centre, the BSC Kragujevac awarded certificates to 103 young professionals who participated in the Spring Business Skills Trainings.

The trainings, a series of thematic lectures held from April through June, covered a range of topics including business plan writing, public appearance skills, management skills, business communication, organization and company development, entrepreneurship, and financial management and accounting.

On Tuesday, June 24, in the Media Center of Sumadija Fair, a report on the status of the SME sector in Kragujevac and Sumadija District was presented. A roundtable discussion of the report’s findings followed.

The report provides an overview of the current situation, including the problems confronting local small- and medium-sized enterprises. Research for the study was done by GM Consulting from Kragujevac.
The roundtable discussion identified the main obstacles to the development of entrepreneurship. These obstacles will be further analyzed, and a set of recommendations will be sent to local government officials.
The presentation and round table were run by Professor Verica Babic, from the University of Kragujevac’s Faculty of Economics.

The Business Start-Up Centre Kragujevac supports students, young graduates and young (potential) entrepreneurs to start and improve their own small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Serbia. It is part of a network of business centres in South East Europe and the European Union. The project is financed by the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, and co-owned by local stakeholders represented in the Coordination Committee of the centre.
